Luang Prabang temples

Luang Prabang in Laos has world heritage status on a cultrual basis. It is described as "an outstanding example of the fusion of traditional architecture and Lao urban structures with those built by the European colonial authorities in the 19th and 20th centuries."

The town is small and it is easy to walk around most of the sites. Here are some of the popular temples, taken in 2007.

Tattoed monk
Red Buddha
Monks' quarters
Monks' house
recycled sardine cans
Mural
