I don't have any interest in, or connection with Kuan Cheng school, but it is always sad to see old buildings being demolished. I've walked past the school many times, and in Dec noticed that the canteen by the road had been demolished. 4 days later the old school building had also gone. And trees had gone as well.
Kuen Cheng School was established in 1908 and is situated on the Federal Highway near the Istana. It changed from a girls' high school to a mixed co-ed in 2007, despite protests. Many times I've been caught in bad traffic as parents double park when collecting their children.
There is now a Nilai College sign outside, so don't know if they are going to build there.

A few years ago a new school, Kuen Cheng 2, was opened near the Kwong Tong cemetery.
