Ramadan decorations in KL shopping centres

The boss (!) Raja of OneAsean asked me to post some photos of the Ramadan decorations in Mid Valley. Their theme is "The Good Old Days" and it's one of the best displays they've had, and the best I've seen in Klang Valley in 2008.

They have a traditional Malay kampong house, surrounded by gardens and coconut trees, with a wooden boardwalk leading to the house. Outside the house is an old scooter and a huge wok used for making large quantites of food for raya.

fake coconut !

The neighbouring The Gardens mall, which is more upmarket, has a theme called "Crafted for Raya" but it is very simple and the decorations are nothing special.

KLCC has concentrated on just having stalls made of traditional bamboo and wood, and selling a variety of items. Mid Valley also has the same type of stalls.

Bangsar Village 2 which is another upmarket shopping place only has simple decorations -

See separate album for photos of Ramadan stalls in KL shopping centres and Ramadan pasar food stalls.
